Madhuri Dixit Was Not Bringing Anything New To The Table

So there’s been a lot of speculation around whether Madhuri Dixit-Nene will continue to be one of the judges of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa this season.

Now its confirmed Madhuri is officially out of Jhalak!

A source close to the show's broadcaster says, "The makers decided to drop her this season as she was not bringing anything new to the table. While the actress has judged the dance show beautifully over the last 4 years, her presence hasnt really added to the show in the recent past."

She is not the only one who is parting ways with Jhalak. Choreographer Remo DSouza too will not be seen this year. Courtesy his wife.

Yes, shocking but true. We heard that the choreographer-turned-directors wife was interfering too much in the reality show. From deciding his shoot timings to his fee for the show, Remos wife was getting into the nitty-gritty of things. Fed up with her interference, the makers thought it best to show Remo the door.

Remo still has his film ABCD2 and his new show, Dance+, to look forward to.

Unfortunately, things arent looking as good for Madhuri. The actress moved back to India with bag and baggage in 2011 with the hope of reviving her Bollywood career.

She even left her personal assistant of almost three decades Rakesh Nath aka Rikku and hired a talent agency to give her career that much-needed boost. Only if changing ones manager could help ones career

Sadly enough, the reigning queen of the 90s hasnt been able to recreate the magic. Her films have been few and far in between. And now with Jhalak no longer in her kitty, we wonder what Madhuris next move will be.

As for the show, this season will see only 2 hosts instead of the usual 3. While Karan Johar retains his judges post, Shahid Kapoor has agreed to be a part of the show in principle. The actor is yet to sign on the dotted line.
